Major Noah led Li Qinwu into the outskirts of the factory complex, where Skitarii stood guard and patrolled everywhere.

The Skitarii of the Adeptus Mechanicus were heavily modified cyborgs, with barely any flesh left on their bodies.

These Skitarii had lavish equipment: red robes, rapid-fire plasma guns, arc rifles, and a powered melee weapon for every soldier!

Power swords were reserved for senior officers elsewhere, but every one of these Skitarii had one.

Major Noah led Li Qinwu into a factory that produced armor plating. Huge numbers of hydraulic presses and forging machines shaped red-hot metal into armor for Chimera transports and Leman Russ tanks.

Major Noah walked straight up to the factory manager, a Tech-Priest.

"Little brother, I need your help with something."

A Tech-Priest with delicate features turned around. His mouth and nose had been replaced with a respirator.

"Sis? What is it?"

"Here's the situation!"

Li Qinwu watched the siblings with interest. One had become a PDF major, the other a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

This planet really was interesting. Had the forces of the Imperium and the Adeptus Mechanicus become this closely integrated?

After listening to his sister's explanation, the Tech-Priest looked at Li Qinwu.

"Honored Inquisitor, I am Tech-Priest Busi. Could you provide a damage assessment for your knight mechs?

I need a detailed diagnostic report to determine how to repair them."
