For whom did the bell toll? For the divine machine spirit!

Accompanied by the resonant tolling, the Stellar Forge slowly opened. Glowing molten adamantium flowed from the furnace toward the forging machinery.

An enormous hydraulic hammer, like a tool wielded by a titan, slammed down from machinery dozens of stories high, striking the red-hot block of adamantium.

A boom like an exploding shell erupted. With every strike of the forging hammer, the Tech-Priests kneeling around it broke into a Binary Chant.

The steam hammer struck once per minute, for a total of 1,440 blows.

That was one day on Terra. From the very beginning of its forging, this piece of God's Machinery had been marked by humanity.

The machine spirit born within it would surely share countless bonds with humankind!

When the armor plate left the furnace, it was placed on a small cart resembling an altar.

The cart was covered in candles and Purity Seals. Two rows of Tech-Priests accompanied it, one on either side, chanting incessantly with burning censers in their hands.

Ahead of the cart were more than two hundred slave laborers.

They strained against the chains, dragging the adamantium armor plate toward the assembly area.

The plate was brought before a Knight Squire Mech. Dozens of strength-augmented Tech-Priests lifted it in their palms as though raising a sacred relic.

Magos Bous held an oil pot in one hand. He dipped his other hand inside and sprinkled holy oil over the armor while reciting the Binary Litany.
