Range Test

The golden Squire Mech walked slowly into the firing range. The firing range was enormous, a Great Desert several kilometers long and wide.

There was a pile of Ork tank mechs in the desert, almost all of them armored weapons currently used by the Orks.

The more intact ones had been hauled back from the battlefield by the Tech-Priest and parked here for weapons testing.

The laser cannons had three settings. The first fired 3,000 rounds per minute, with lasers only slightly stronger than those from infantry lasguns. It was mainly used to kill unarmored soldiers.

The second fired 1,500 rounds per minute and was used against light-armored targets.

The third fired 600 rounds per minute at maximum power. It was a true Laser Cannon, firing thick, massive beams mainly intended for anti-aircraft use.
