The old monk led Li Qinwu out of the city through an underground passage.

When they emerged from the tunnel exit, they were already on a mountain five kilometers east of Kyoto.

The old monk said, "From here to Snow Flower Mountain, it is only 150 kilometers. If we move quickly, we can get there in three days."

Li Qinwu frowned.

"Three days? Too slow!"

The old monk was utterly helpless.

"There is no helping it. The distance is what it is. Traveling fifty li a day is already hard on the body."

As he spoke, the old monk weighed the weapons in his hands: a podao, a bow, and a katana. He had brought them for protection, and they were not light.

Li Qinwu stepped forward and tucked the old man under his arm.

"I do not want to wait three days!"

Then, with the old man tucked under his arm, he charged off in great strides.

Li Qinwu's stamina bar was now longer than his life. He could run at forty kilometers an hour for half an hour.

After his stamina bar emptied, he only needed to walk slowly for three minutes for it to refill, and then he could sprint hard for another half hour!

Being tucked under Li Qinwu's arm, the old monk got to experience what it meant to fly along on swift feet.

In a little over five hours, they left Kyoto's sphere of control and entered the borderlands of the Snow Flower Kingdom.

If Li Qinwu had not feared jolting the old geezer to death and deliberately slowed down, he would have reached Snow Flower Mountain long ago.
