Duan Xu quickly scanned the code and added him. "I added you. I'll pull you into our dorm group later."
"Mm." Shen Yanlang responded and accepted the request.
He looked at Duan Xu's profile picture. It was a white cat curled up on a tatami mat, and his nickname was Shh, Don't Talk.
Heh... pretty cute.
Duan Xu blinked. What was cute? His profile picture? It was pretty cute.
He was also looking at Shen Yanlang's profile picture and nickname. Shen Yanlang's nickname was simple, just the letter S, while his profile picture showed a starry sky.
When he tapped into his Moments, he found it set to visible for only three days. Since Shen Yanlang had not posted anything in those three days, there was nothing there. Duan Xu backed out and added Shen Yanlang to the dorm group.
Shen Yanlang was also looking through Duan Xu's Moments. He had the same settings, and since Duan Xu rarely posted anything, there was nothing there either.
Tch!
Duan Xu secretly glanced at Shen Yanlang. What was with that tone? Why did he sound a little unhappy? It was not because of him, was it?
Just then, Shen Yanlang suddenly turned his head. "Send me your class schedule. Let me take a look."
"Huh? Oh." Duan Xu's heart thudded. He had no idea why Shen Yanlang wanted his schedule, but he did as he was told. "I sent it."
Shen Yanlang casually changed Duan Xu's remark to his name, then sent his own schedule to Duan Xu before opening Duan Xu's.
A moment later, Shen Yanlang said, "Our class times overlap quite a lot, and most of them are in the same building. Shall we go together from now on?"
Duan Xu quietly took a breath, a smile appearing on his face. "Sure."
Wasn't this heaven helping him?
Shen Yanlang froze for a moment. Duan Xu's smile was infectious. When he smiled, his eyes curved beautifully, making others want to smile as well.
His smile is pretty nice.
He feels a little different from this morning.
Duan Xu: "..."
Thanks for the compliment. Of course morning me wasn't the same as current me!
After adding each other, the two had little else to say. Shen Yanlang opened his computer and started doing something, while Duan Xu, having nothing to do, played a few mini-games.
At around eleven-thirty, Shen Yanlang and Duan Xu left together for lunch at the cafeteria. On the way there and while eating, Shen Yanlang still drew the attention and stares of many people.
After lunch, Duan Xu and Shen Yanlang went to the club culture street. Recruitment booths lined both sides, some with display boards set up beside them.
"Recruiting, recruiting! The Martial Arts Club is recruiting!"
"The Anime Club is recruiting! As long as you're an anime fan, everyone is welcome!"
"Classmate, want to check out the Basketball Club?"
"Is there any club you want to join?" Shen Yanlang asked Duan Xu as he looked around.
Duan Xu was looking around too. He was somewhat interested in joining a club, but he did not know which one. "What about you? Is there anything you want to join?"
Shen Yanlang's gaze swept around before finally settling on a booth with a mountain bike displayed beside it. He said flatly, "The Cycling Club."
Hearing that, Duan Xu looked over. There were not many people at the Cycling Club booth, only a few interested freshmen asking questions, with just one senior student answering them.
"I'll go take a look." Shen Yanlang intended to ask about it.
Duan Xu followed him. "I'll take a look too."
If Shen Yanlang joined the Cycling Club, then he would join it too. That would give him even more chances to build a good relationship with him.
After weaving through the crowd, the two arrived at the Cycling Club booth just as those students finished asking their questions and left. Shen Yanlang stepped forward and asked, "Senior, I'd like to learn more. Could you tell me about it in detail?"
"Of course!" Huang Yonghe was the president of the Cycling Club. Although he was a beta, he was from the sports academy, and his muscles were impossible to hide. "Our Cycling Club is just a group of like-minded people getting together to go cycling."
"Don't worry, our club doesn't have many events, at most two a semester." Huang Yonghe introduced it enthusiastically. "We usually go to nearby parks and attractions. You get to ride, have some fun, and it won't take up too much of your free time."
After hearing the introduction, Shen Yanlang thought it sounded pretty good and said directly, "How do I sign up?"
Huang Yonghe immediately beamed and handed over a registration form. "Come on, fill out your basic information here. Tonight, I'll add each of you, then pull you into the club group."
"I'm joining too!" Duan Xu had only wanted to follow Shen Yanlang, but after listening to the president's introduction, he had become interested as well.
Huang Yonghe smiled and nodded. "All right. Once he's done, you can fill one out too."
"Okay, Senior."
Huang Yonghe looked the two of them over. Catching sight of Shen Yanlang's perfect profile, he could not help saying, "Junior, let me tell you, if you join our club, you'll definitely attract a whole crowd of omegas and betas."
After saying that, he asked, "Junior, do you have a partner?"
Shen Yanlang straightened after finishing the form and replied blandly, "No."
"With looks like yours, you definitely don't lack pursuers." Huang Yonghe smiled. "You should cherish your university years. If you meet someone suitable, you can try dating."
Shen Yanlang gave a noncommittal hum and said nothing more.
Not interested. Don't want to date. Too troublesome.
Duan Xu secretly smiled as he filled out his form. People always loved setting flags, then knocking them down with their own hands.
Duan Xu was bent over, exposing a stretch of his neck—slender, fair, and soft-looking. Shen Yanlang looked at it twice more.
Pretty fair.
What was fair?
"Senior, I'm done." Duan Xu straightened and handed over the registration form.
"Okay. Approve my request tonight when I add you." Huang Yonghe took it and glanced it over. Once he confirmed there were no issues, he set it down.
After the two left, they walked around a little more. When they found no other clubs that interested them, they returned to the dorm together.
By the time they got back, Zhou Zhou and Xiao Xu had already returned. Seeing them, Zhou Zhou asked, "Did you guys go to the culture street? A lot of clubs are recruiting there."
"We did." Duan Xu replied with a smile, "Yanlang and I signed up for the Cycling Club."
"Heh! Xu and I signed up too!" Zhou Zhou looked delighted.
Xiao Xu grinned foolishly. "That's great! Then everyone in our dorm can go together. How awesome is that?"
"Mm." Shen Yanlang responded, glancing at Duan Xu beside him.
I want to hear him say that a few more times.
Duan Xu had a face full of question marks again.
Just then, Shen Yanlang's phone chimed. He sat down and took it out. It was a message from Xue Jingshu.
Xue Jingshu: [The Student Council is recruiting. Just come directly; you don't need an interview.]
Shen Yanlang replied without even thinking: [Not coming. Not interested.]
Xue Jingshu: [With your abilities, if you join the Student Council, you'll definitely become the next Student Council president. You can take over from me.]
Shen Yanlang: [Not interested. Find someone else.]
Xue Jingshu: [...All right.]
Xue Jingshu: [Let's have a meal together when you're free.]
Shen Yanlang: [Mm.]
University only lasts a few years. There's no need to spend them all on the Student Council. Play when it's time to play—later, there might not be another chance.
Duan Xu glanced sideways at Shen Yanlang. The Student Council?
Then he remembered that Shen Yanlang came from an elite family and had absolutely no need to worry about finding work after graduation. In that case, he really should have more fun during university.
What was more, after graduating, Shen Yanlang had not gone to work for his family's company at all. Instead, he had started his own software company.
Tch, as expected of the male lead. There really were not many people who could compare to those qualifications.
Duan Xu shook his head slightly. He was not jealous. He only wanted to change his cannon fodder ending and live his own quiet life.
