In the car, Duan Xu watched the scenery streak past the window, his mood especially bright.
They did not have to meet the parents for now. How could he not be happy?
While driving, Shen Yanlang glanced at Duan Xu and curled his lips. When they stopped at a red light, he pulled Duan Xu over and kissed him hard.
He kissed so well. Going a day without kissing him was unbearable.
Duan Xu: "..."
Seriously, it was not like he would not let him kiss him. At least give him a warning first!
Wait, maybe he should not.
He remembered those kisses Shen Yanlang had given him after warning him. They had been even more nerve-racking and heart-pounding than the ones without warning.
The car started moving again. Shen Yanlang smiled and said, "We don't have time today. Want to go look at apartments tomorrow?"
"Sure," Duan Xu replied.
They had been looking at apartments online these past couple of days and had picked out three decent two-bedroom units. They were all new places, since they did not plan to rent anymore—they intended to buy outright.
For one thing, they would be living here for more than three years. For another, the university was fairly close to downtown, so they might be able to keep living there after they started working.
Even if they did not live there anymore, they could rent it out to other college students. Either way, it would be a guaranteed profit.
At around eleven in the morning, they arrived at school. Shen Yanlang pulled Duan Xu's suitcase with one hand and held Duan Xu's hand with the other as they walked from the parking lot toward the dormitory building.
It was the first day of school, and plenty of people were walking around campus.
