"What should we do now? It's unnaturally quiet around here. The quieter it is, the more likely there's danger lurking."
Vivi stepped out of the cabin. She glanced at the overly calm sea around them, but she showed no sign of panic. Instead, she seemed to have already found some pattern in this unusual silence.
"Don't be scared just yet. The weather suddenly becoming this stable isn't necessarily a bad thing." Vivi pointed into the distance. "The Grand Line's climate changes may be chaotic, but they aren't completely without patterns. There should be an island nearby, and as long as we read the course correctly, we have a chance of figuring out where it is."
She had Sanji pick up the telescope again, then went over the navigational knowledge she knew. Islands around the Grand Line often corresponded to one of the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, or winter. When a ship sailed from a summer island toward a winter island, the climate would change drastically in a very short time. That change itself was a clue to finding an island.
"As long as we look carefully along the horizon, there'll definitely be an island ahead," Vivi said with certainty. "And it's usually easier to find a doctor on an island with such a changeable climate. What matters most now isn't guessing where the enemy is, but finding someone who can save Nami."
Sanji wasted no more time. He stood at the bow and gazed ahead in the gradually brightening light. A moment later, his gaze suddenly sharpened, and he abruptly lowered the telescope.
"I see it! There really is an island ahead!"
His voice carried across the deck and straight into the cabin. Luffy, who had been staying beside Nami, immediately raised his head, the exhaustion vanishing from his
