Regulars at White Jade Capital immediately recognized Cheng Lang and grew excited.

"You're not being the star performer at White Jade Capital, and instead you came to Grand View Stage to perform crosstalk. Langlang, you're getting more and more sidetracked!"

Cheng Lang blinked innocently and replied without thinking, "I was just looking for a side job to pass the time! The economy's been bad lately. Money isn't easy to make."

"Then that's on us," the customer said. "We didn't tip enough."

"So you went into the business?" another regular chimed in.

The Yao brothers frowned and watched Cheng Lang with undisguised glee. Those words were vicious enough.

Cheng Lang still wore a cheerful smile, utterly unruffled. "I wouldn't dare put it that way. If we're being precise, I'm taking the stage. And the stage I'm taking is Grand View Stage."

The Yao brothers looked at Cheng Lang helplessly. They had only remembered how sharp White Jade Capital's regulars could be and forgotten Cheng Lang's mouth. This was a crowd that had been hurting each other for years. None of them was innocent.

After exchanging a few teasing remarks with White Jade Capital's regulars, Cheng Lang guided the conversation back on track. This was the Yao brothers' show, after all, not like his usual casual chats with customers at White Jade Capital. Today, he was a guest himself. As a guest, he could hardly steal the spotlight from the hosts.

After all, he still had a favor to ask of them!

If Cheng Lang played the supporting role, that mouth of his could flatter someone straight to heaven. By the end of the routine, both hosts and guests were delighted. What Cheng Lang had not expected, however, was that someone would upload a video of their crosstalk performance online.
