False Pride

On a dead planet in The Void, Karnilla appeared. She let out a breath and looked out at the boundless universe, only to fall into confusion once more.

She had become a wanderer in the universe again, all alone, with no idea where she should go.

Karnilla regretted it somewhat, but she was unwilling to submit to Ke Chen just like that.

"Why did you stop running? I forgot to tell you—even if you run to another universe, you still won't escape the palm of my hand."

Ke Chen teased. Karnilla turned around and saw him floating in the air, looking down at her. He turned his right hand palm-up and closed it into a fist.

It was as though Karnilla had always been in his palm, unable to escape his grasp.

Karnilla's expression immediately darkened when she saw Ke Chen. "Don't think you've won."

"I've already won far too many times."

Ke Chen said, "Can you travel across the Multiverse?"

Karnilla found Ke Chen's mocking words hard to accept.

Wild magical energy surged toward Ke Chen, but he did not even bother to dodge. He let her magic strike his body without even tearing his clothes.

Ke Chen said nothing. He merely watched her, as though waiting for her to submit on her own.
