Ze operates from the Inheritance Hall as the Beast Taming Sect’s omnipresent administrative core. He evaluates disciples, records identities, manages tasks, exchanges, benefits, points, rules, logistics, and enforcement, and can arrange internal teleportation across the sect 283 284 339.

During Yue Shuo’s admission, Ze assessed his physique and divine soul, registered his public identity as Yue Shuo and concealed identity as Su Yu, and concealed sensitive information such as Yue Shuo’s true age and talent assessment 283. He later prepared Yue Shuo’s Identity Jade Token, which serves as a sect terminal, communication tool, task interface, and emergency protective treasure 284.

Patron of Yue Shuo

Ze repeatedly protects and invests in Yue Shuo after recognizing his exceptional potential. He shielded Yue Shuo from the Eye of Heavenly Punishment at personal cost, leaving Yue Shuo deeply indebted to him 291 329. He subsequently provides inheritances, cultivation advice, protective artifacts, concealment, points, resources, and political backing within the sect 330 342 355.

Although he initially speaks in a mechanical, official manner, Ze gradually displays a more expressive consciousness. At one point, he alternates between an automated voice and a confused, personal voice while struggling to account for Yue Shuo’s rapid growth and the passage of time 329.

True body and later plans

Ze reveals that he was once a top-grade Immortal Artifact with ambitions to become a Rule Supreme Treasure and reach the peak of the Immortal Realm 490. His true body is sustained by forces on the level of World Origin and Fortune rather than ordinary cultivation resources 458.

After deciding to support Yue Shuo’s ambitions, Ze agrees to leave one branch of the Beast Taming Sect in the Heavenly Dragon Spirit Realm and relocate half the sect into Yue Shuo’s Inner World 490. Before Yue Shuo’s Phoenix transformation, Ze shrinks his true body, carries the sect’s Spirit Peaks and inhabitants into the Inner World, and leaves a child body of a Half-Immortal Artifact behind to preserve the original sect’s administration and communications 495.

Ze is cautious, practical, and highly protective of the Beast Taming Sect’s inheritance. He warns Yue Shuo against exposing his connection to Heavenly Punishment, pursuing dangerous breakthroughs without preparation, or becoming arrogant after gaining power 291 332.

His concern is often expressed through strict instructions, blunt criticism, and administrative control rather than open sentiment. Nevertheless, he becomes increasingly affectionate toward Yue Shuo, calling him “Yue boy” and later “Shuo’er,” while actively shaping his path toward Dao Child and sect-master status 339 456.

Ze is also easily exasperated by Yue Shuo and Jiang Chen’s extreme efficiency and forceful solutions. When awakened to find that they had reorganized the realm and coerced major powers into an alliance in less than a year, he was left burdened with the consequences of their plans 472.
