He used a large hook to catch Hairy Croaker, with a small iron cage specially attached in the middle. Besides being hooked onto the line, the shrimp were also placed in the little iron cage to lure the fish.
Fishing required a great deal of patience.
Lu Ao had started chumming and fishing at 11:37. At noon, he cooked half a pot of rice and dishes on an induction cooker, then continued fishing that afternoon after eating.
During that time, he even caught a Big Red Grouper, but there was not a trace of any Hairy Croaker.
He sat alone on the deserted island, with no one around.
His phone had a full signal and plenty of battery. Bored out of his mind, he sat on the island and played Fight the Landlord.
Everyone in the fishing group knew he had gone out to catch Hairy Croaker today.
After finishing work that afternoon, Lin Gongshang came to tease him: Lu Ao @Lu Ao, how was your Hairy Croaker fishing going?
- Not great.
Lin Gongshang: No way. Is there really a fish even you can't catch?
Lin Qiyan: No Hairy Croaker, then? Did you catch any other valuable fish?
- I caught a Big Red Grouper.
Lin Gongshang asked: Just one Big Red Grouper?
Lu Ao had put out large hooks. Fish that were not big enough simply could not bite them.
Other than Big Red Grouper, this area probably only had Hairy Croaker. There was nothing Lu Ao could do about it.
Lin Gongshang's questions irritated him. - Or what?
Lin Gongshang sent: How about we head out to sea and cast nets instead? It feels more reliable than fishing.
Lu Ao: No license. Not going.
Lin Qiyan: Fishing isn't necessarily unreliable. There are still four or five hours
