Lu Ao's heart jolted. He had no time for wild thoughts and shouted, "Hold on! I'm coming!"
As he spoke, he swam rapidly in that direction.
The cries seemed to be coming from a huge reef nearly a kilometer ahead. There was a bend there that happened to block his view.
Lu Ao had sharp ears. Even from so far away, he could hear the voices clearly.
In reality, it would still take three to five minutes to swim over.
Lu Ao was anxious.
Judging by the commotion, they had already been in the water for a while. It would take time to swim there, and more time to pull them out. In those three to five minutes of delay, two lives could very well be lost.
Lu Ao's swimming speed in the water was fairly ordinary.
He could move faster by running ashore, but the reefs were rugged. Every day, part of them was submerged by the tide, so many were covered in slippery moss. One careless step and he could slip, fall, and smash his head open.
Lu Ao swam swiftly through the water. Gradually, he could no longer hear the cries for help. He did not know whether they were too busy trying to save themselves to call out, or whether they had already sunk beneath the sea.
Lu Ao's heart sank. He could no longer worry about anything else. He quickly shifted back into Dragon Form, grabbed his underwear with his hind claws, and sped toward them.
His speed in Dragon Form was like lightning. In just over ten seconds, he reached his destination.
He had never been this disheveled in his life.
By the time he arrived, a man and a woman floating in the water had already lost consciousness.
