Lin Gongshang: Qi Yan just suggested going to the offshore tidal pools to pump them out. There are so many pools out there that hardly anyone has ever drained and searched. We might find some big catches if we go take a look.
Qi Yan: There are so many octopuses right now, selling for forty or fifty yuan per jin.
Qi Yan: The afternoon sun is blazing. We'd just be sitting around at home anyway, so we can borrow a water pump and take a boat out. It won't cost much in fuel, and whatever we catch is a bonus.
Lin Gongshang: That's what I think too. Just enough to earn some drinking money, hehe JPG.
Lin Gongshang: Lu Ao, are you coming? You're lucky. Why not come along and bless us with some of that luck?
Lu Ao: I'll ask.
Lin Gongshang: Ask what? I can borrow a fishing boat from Zhang Ge, we have diesel at home, and I know how to drive a boat. There's nothing to ask.
Lu Ao had meant to ask whether Song Zhou would be back soon and whether he wanted to head out to sea with them.
When Lin Gongshang asked, he found it awkward to say so in the group chat and simply stopped replying.
Qi Yan had guessed it, but there was nothing to say to a straight guy like Lin Gongshang, whose heart was as vast as the sea.
Lin Gongshang muttered to himself, utterly baffled. Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, he could only say, "All right, ask first. I'll go borrow a boat from Zhang Ge."
Lu Ao called Song Zhou.
They rarely spoke on the phone. Song Zhou's voice came through the receiver slightly distorted, yet it carried a different kind of charm.
