"Hey." The director held up a small loudspeaker, circling around to avoid the penguins. "Wait, why are you chasing me?"
The cameraman hurriedly filmed the scene while everyone nearby laughed so hard they could barely stand upright.
The poor director, a middle-aged fat man, was chased by the Adélie Penguins until he was panting and sweating all over his face.
He raised the loudspeaker. "Stop laughing and come help me!"
The leading actress on the production team laughed. "You can't touch penguins. How are we supposed to help?"
"Quick, quick! Come over and distract them." The director panted heavily. "Get some men over here. Lu Ao, Little Zhang, Xiao Nian, hurry up!"
Lu Ao had been watching the spectacle from the side with amusement in his eyes. When the director suddenly called his name, he had no choice but to go over.
He did not get too close to the penguins, stopping roughly six or seven meters away.
The others did the same, approaching the director from different directions in an attempt to draw the Adélie Penguins' attention.
The Adélie Penguins had no interest in any of them. But when they spotted Lu Ao, the little creatures tilted their heads, sensing something unusual about him as their black-bean eyes looked at him in confusion.
Lu Ao's expression changed slightly as he was about to step back.
The Adélie Penguins suddenly moved, surrounding him from all directions. They called out to one another with duck-like squawks, waddling over to encircle Lu Ao.
When they chased others, they wanted to peck them. When they chased Lu Ao, though, they only wanted to rub against him. Their cries were exceptionally cheerful, without a trace of their earlier ferocity.
Lu Ao wore a red outdoor jacket that did not make him look bulky.
