Lu Ao left the Fisheries Bureau but did not go home. Instead, he drove off to find Huang Ningna.

"I wanted to borrow some materials from your professor." Lu Ao asked, "When will he be back?"
"The professor has classes these next two days too. He probably won't be back until the day after tomorrow."
Huang Ningna had teaching duties of his own. He had only been able to come here to study coral by pulling some strings and having the academic affairs office concentrate his weekly classes into three days, leaving the other four for work here without delaying either side.
