The original Dolphins at Lu Ao's Marine Ranch were somewhat unhappy about these new companions. Ever since Lu Ao brought the newcomers back, they had been throwing tantrums, and no amount of comforting from him worked.

Lu Ao could only take it with a wry smile. He had raised cats before; if he had petted other kittens outside, his own cat would hiss at him like mad, scratching and swatting him.

Compared to that, these Dolphins were much better. At least they did not scratch his face, and they were still willing to interact with him normally.

Compared with the Fish-herding Dolphins at his ranch, the newly arrived Dolphins, Belugas, and Orcas were far more docile. Perhaps because they had been kept in captivity for too long, they seemed rather timid. After arriving, they did not dare frolic too freely, staying only in the areas Lu Ao designated and swimming back and forth in those confined waters every day.

They all had illnesses. Whenever it was time to medicate them, Lu Ao would play with them for a while and comfort them, telling them not to be too nervous. They could go wherever they wanted, as long as they remembered to come back for their medicine each day.

These large creatures would usually call out to show that they understood, but they still refused to leave. They seemed to feel safe only by Lu Ao's side.

Seeing that they did not like venturing out, Lu Ao did not force them. He ordered plenty of extra large fish every day and fed them as usual.

Perhaps after living at the Marine Ranch for a while longer, recovering their health, and getting used to a life without restraint, these Dolphins, Orcas, and Belugas would feel safer and be willing to swim farther
