Lu Ao thought it over carefully and felt that he had a point, though he still muttered, "Has Weng Qian's reputation really been made out to be that terrible?"
"Not quite. He's a smart businessman and knows how to choose what benefits him most," Song Zhou said. "The reputations of major businessmen are never all that good."
As they talked, the dragon egg had finished playing and slowly drifted toward them with the waves.
Lu Ao casually scooped the egg up and held it in his arms, rubbing his chin against it. "You really know how to enjoy yourself."
Naturally, the egg could not respond, but its soft shell and warmth made Lu Ao feel as though he were burying his face in the little fellow's belly.
The dragon egg was still too small. What its belly would look like, and whether he could bury his face in it, would have to wait until it grew up.
Lu Ao and Song Zhou handed the dragon egg over to You Li.
After playing for so long, the dragon egg was already tired and had entered its dormant state again.
During the handoff, it did not react at all. It looked like an ostrich egg that had been incubated for too long, only twitching occasionally, with no intention of interacting with them.

"That's what I think too. With the two of you keeping it in line, if this little thing still dares to be mischievous, then us nonhumans might as well stop having children. We wouldn't be able to control them even if we did." You Li gossiped casually for a few more moments before suddenly
