After finishing all that, Lao Xu returned to the Spirit Grounds inside the jade tablet. With its soil replenished, conditions inside the tablet improved greatly.

Unfortunately, the soil had gone untended for so long that it had reverted to its original state. Lao Xu would have to spend a great deal of time activating it again.

Once Lao Xu had left, Jin Yu began observing Lin Jun.

In truth, she had already begun to suspect that he was not her brother at all. She had simply claimed a connection above her station because her younger sister had been in dire straits and she had no other choice.

But now, even if he was not related to her by blood, he was at least one of her kind.

Time passed. Another thirty years went by, and Lin Jun remained in the same position. Long Yu, on the other hand, had already broken through.

It had taken him only thirty years. Such speed had never been seen before and probably never would be again.

Long Yu had settled into his new realm. He kept studying Lin Jun, his eyes full of puzzlement.

Jin Yu looked at him in confusion.

"Too slow. Far too strange."

Long Yu shook his head again and again. He had witnessed Lin Jun's terrifying cultivation speed firsthand. If even he had managed to break through in just thirty years, there was no reason Lin Jun should have shown no response after all this time.

"This Grotto-Heaven is a natural blessed land. I don't know what mysteries lie beneath it, but I encountered no obstacles during my breakthrough. That's why I advanced so quickly. But why?"

If he had encountered no obstacles, why would Lin Jun?
