Kakashi touched his forehead, clearly puzzled as to why the Hokage had summoned him.
And why was Madara Uchiha standing beside him?
"Kakashi, your left eye is a Sharingan, correct?"
Tobirama Senju raised an eyebrow slightly and asked a question he already knew the answer to.
"Yes... It was a keepsake given to me by my comrade before his sacrifice."
Kakashi's expression became somewhat unnatural, as though this had touched upon a scar in his heart that he did not wish to mention.
He lifted the Konoha forehead protector he always wore at an angle, revealing a red eye with three tomoe spinning continuously.
As an outsider, Kakashi could not deactivate the Sharingan, which caused him considerable trouble with chakra consumption.
Could Madara be planning to take back the Uchiha clan's eye? Kakashi was startled as the thought arose.
As the ancestor of the Uchiha clan, it would be understandable if he wanted to reclaim the clan's Kekkei Genkai after learning it had been passed outside the family.
But this was the last thing Obito had left him!
Not even Madara Uchiha could take it away!
"Has your eye undergone any changes?" Tobirama Senju asked calmly, clasping his hands together.
"Some time ago, the Sharingan did change. When I fought members of Akatsuki, I even came to understand one of its techniques."
Kakashi nodded. During his battle with Deidara, the space around the arm caught in his gaze had twisted, directly wrenching Deidara's arm off.
But that technique consumed an enormous amount of chakra. If Tsunade had not been there at the time, he himself would likely have collapsed as well.
Under Kakashi's control, the three tomoe within the Sharingan spun rapidly and merged, transforming into a pattern resembling a massive windmill.
"That is the Mangekyō Sharingan."
