Inside the carriage, twelve people were crammed into the narrow, crowded space.

Just then, a message came from one of their men outside the carriage. "My lords, Senju Tobirama has been spotted. He is less than half a li away. Please prepare yourselves."

At those words, everyone inside the carriage perked up, their eyes filled with anticipation.

After spotting the carriage in the distance, Tobirama continued forward at an unhurried pace.

"Lord Hokage, the carriage ahead looks somewhat suspicious. Should we prepare for battle?"

Genma Shiranui asked.

"Kid Genma, you three hide yourselves first. That group is coming for me. You are no match for them," Tobirama Senju said calmly.

He had already sensed that group's chakra. They were far beyond what these three guards could fight. To avoid casualties, he intended to face them alone.

"But we..."

Genma Shiranui had wanted to say more, but he met Tobirama Senju's gaze head-on. It was a gaze of invincibility and overwhelming power, and he swallowed the words about to leave his mouth.

He believed that such a Hokage would never die at another's hands.

After seeing the three of them conceal themselves, Tobirama smiled faintly and shook his head.

Then he walked alone down the road.
