Background

Cheng Lu, a former college student, is struck by a dump truck and awakens in darkness while being overwhelmed by memories of the Senju clan, Hokage, and the shinobi world. He ultimately realizes that his consciousness now inhabits Tobirama Senju’s reanimated body during Orochimaru’s Konoha Crush attack 1 2.

Retaining Tobirama’s memories, knowledge, and identity alongside his own knowledge of the world, he recognizes that he created Impure World Reincarnation and knows its release sequence. He initially feigns compliance to assess Orochimaru, then severs the summoner’s control and turns the Konoha Crush Plan against him 2 3.

After stabilizing Konoha, Tobirama resumes the office of Second Hokage. His return exposes Danzō’s rebellion, the elder council’s complicity, and Hiruzen’s failures concerning the Senju clan; he dismantles the old ruling structure and rebuilds Konoha’s security apparatus around Shikaku, Kakashi, and Might Guy 21 22 25 26.

As Hokage, he is decisive to the point of ruthlessness. He executes Danzō for rebellion, arrests the elder council, confines Hiruzen after uncovering the persecution of Senju civilians, and repeatedly prioritizes Konoha’s security over diplomacy or restraint 21 25 26.

Despite his harshness, he shows loyalty toward his clan and selective compassion toward individuals.
