The Founders Had Their Awkward Years Too

"You're Ravenclaw's Seeker, so I thought I should tell you and give you some time to prepare yourself mentally."

The meaning behind those words was not hard to grasp. Manus had already made up his mind.

After all, he could not really wait until the other Houses gave up and withdrew, leaving the entire tournament unable to continue, before pulling something like this to salvage the situation.

By then, Ravenclaw would be the one begging the other three Houses to compete. The initiative would fall into the hands of the other three Houses, and even giving away three Broomsticks for free might not be enough.

Even if he gave away three sets of Broomsticks, it would only count as "making up for his mistake."

But it was different if they took the initiative now. Not only could the three Broomsticks be reasonably traded to the three Houses, sharing Manus's risk, but the other three Houses would even have to thank him!

"Phew... You're right."

After thinking it over carefully, Bellows realized that if he were in the position of the other Houses, he would not be interested in such a competition either.

Why not just hand the trophy to you directly? Why go through the trouble of competing? No matter how much I practiced, could I make a Broomstick fly faster than its performance limit?

Was the Broomstick carrying me, or was I carrying the Broomstick?

Manus nodded, then closed his eyes to rest—reviewing the memories of those founders.

As the memories continued to be sorted out, although the process was not yet complete, this was not some whole, integrated magical item that had to be processed all at once. He could review the portions of the memories that had already been organized.

The founders had not known one another
