"They're in your care. I have other things to do today, so I won't have time to feed them at noon."

Manus left the two rather troublesome foals in the Demiguise's care.

Those two foals were simply far too rambunctious. They might disrupt the other Magical Creatures, and earlier, while chasing each other, they had nearly plunged headfirst into the Magical Plant area, where danger lurked everywhere.

Venomous Tentacula, Devil Vine, Mandrake, Poisonblood Goldenbark Trees...

Though the two foals bore extraordinary names, they were currently only as capable as ordinary young Pegasi. It was hard to say whether they could emerge unscathed after charging wildly through that place. They might not even make it out at all.

Fortunately, the Demiguise, as the head steward, could keep an eye on them. The two were still only foals, after all. With the Demiguise's ability to foresee the immediate future, there was no way they could escape if it wanted to catch them.

Manus felt quite reassured.

After hearing this, the Demiguise nodded. As it looked at the two foals, its gaze carried a subtly paternal warmth.

Come to think of it, the Demiguise truly was both intelligent and capable. Over the past year or so, it had kept all the Magical Creatures and Magical Plants in perfect order. Manus even felt that it had the talent to become a Druid.

Many mages hired Druids specifically to tend the Botanical Gardens of their Mage Towers, or worked with Druids to develop them. After all, nearly all the vast forests of the Main Plane already had owners. If new Druids wanted to study and gain practical experience, they had to find their own way to explore untapped territory.

Still, whether the Demiguise could learn Druid magic remained uncertain. More importantly, Manus did not know
