After laying out the drawbacks, Manus did not hide the benefits Petunia could not yet feel behind them.

"Now you know the difficulties you'll have to face if you want to learn magic. Besides that, I must remind you that I still haven't finished paving the way forward..."

She might not understand the specifics, but he could simplify it for her: even if she gained magic in the future, the path of learning magic would not be so smooth. "Although you're still young, you've finished all those books of mine, so I won't feed you empty words... Do you think Mr. and Mrs. Evans would support you taking this path?"

Just because Lily was a witch did not mean the Evans family would readily accept Petunia taking this path.

The Evans family could accept Lily attending Hogwarts and becoming a witch because the fact that Lily was a witch could not be changed, and the Wizarding World had long possessed a mature system for how Muggle-born witches and wizards should study and live in the future.

There was no precedent whatsoever for someone like Petunia. That meant uncertainty—dangerous uncertainty.

"If Mr. and Mrs. Evans don't support you, how will you deal with it? Do you have the ability to survive without their support?"
