Manus rubbed the bridge of his nose. It hadn't been just a day or two since the actions of the greatest wizard of the century had become impossible to fathom.

Perhaps Dumbledore had other plans, considerations Manus could not yet reach. But it was equally possible that his emotional wizarding mindset had simply come up with some incomprehensible idea.

By now, Manus had fully accepted the diversity of wizarding thought.

This time, it was not Hicks teaching them, but Staky, whom he had first met on the grass beside the castle.

He had heard that this term's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor had originally been meant to be Hicks alone, but Hicks had insisted that she did not have time for fixed teaching duties, which was why Professor Staky had joined them.
