Staky poured Manus a cup of tea.

Strictly speaking, those words were somewhat ambiguous, especially when a teacher and student were having afternoon tea alone together. However, there was nearly a century between them.

And Manus could tell that Staky was simply reminiscing about her school days, so he accepted the cup without concern and took a sip.
