Excitement and eagerness flashed in Slughorn's eyes.

"Normally, information about who controls these resources is gathered naturally through repeated transactions and probing. But I can directly help you find suitable trading partners."

At this point, Slughorn offered a reminder.

"The Slug Club is indeed an excellent network, but the value of that network will mostly be realized in the future. If you want to trade with people now, you should really be looking for their parents. The children of some suitable targets may not even be attending Hogwarts yet."

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Professor."

Manus thought it over. He truly had no need to master this sort of skill himself. He would not have much use for such channels anyway, and leaving it to someone else could save him a great deal of time.

Entrusting it to the more professional and trustworthy Slughorn was certainly an excellent choice.

His ticket was also connected to Slughorn's seat, which made choosing Slughorn even more appropriate.
