Hagrid patted his chest when it came to these spider eggs.

"I'll roast them and eat them later."

Manus paused.

"You eat Acromantula eggs too?"

"Of course I do. They're edible, and they're delicious. Want to try some? It's about time for lunch anyway."

Hagrid genuinely seemed to be recommending them to Manus. Manus also knew that the eggs should be rich in protein and theoretically could indeed taste good, so he stayed to give them a try.

However...

"Mm, never mind."

Manus frowned after taking one bite.

"I don't really like this texture..."

Perhaps because of the unusual nature of their proteins, Acromantula eggs did not solidify when heated. Instead, they turned into a mushy mass filled with wispy, cotton-like strands... The texture was strange.

They really were fragrant, likely because they contained many different flavor compounds. But as for the texture, Manus respectfully declined.

"All right, then I'll have to eat them by myself."

Hagrid sounded somewhat disappointed, then scooped up a huge spoonful and stuffed it into his mouth.

After parting ways with Hagrid and returning to Hogwarts, Manus sat down directly in the classroom for the first lesson of the afternoon. He split off part of his consciousness and entered the Mental World to deal with the Acromantula eggs whose vital states had been preserved.

Four thousand two hundred of them were placed in the storage area. The magic there would halt the eggs' hatching process. It was not quite complete time-stopping, but they could still hatch normally if taken out within the next few centuries.

Whether they were used for hatching in the future, Magical Creature conservation, or some newly developed use as Potions ingredients, they could be put to use directly.
