Manus felt as though he could somewhat understand, yet not quite.
Compared with Slughorn, Tracey, who was usually rather casual about teaching, indeed did not have much influence as a head of house... but surely that was not enough to put her in danger?
Yet Tracey's explanation told him that it was. Some people were even considering taking action against her, or simply asking Voldemort to do it.
"Some of the more extreme Pure-blood Families consider it a humiliation. None of Hogwarts's professors teaching compulsory subjects come from Slytherin house. If this continues, Slytherin's influence within Hogwarts will only grow weaker, and the future living environment for Slytherins will become harsher."
Manus was speechless at that. It seemed the main culprit behind Hogwarts's worsening environment was Slytherin, followed by Gryffindor—every house had its negative side, but the negative sides of those two houses had the greatest impact on others.
They could even seriously disrupt the normal studies and lives of other innocent people.
"Voldemort did not directly reject these people's requests, which means he was willing to do it. He simply believes the time has not yet come, or that they have not yet agreed on what benefits he would receive for acting."
Staky sounded extremely certain when she said this. Her source of information apparently had direct contact with Voldemort, or even knew Voldemort himself well enough to infer his thoughts from his actions...
For some reason, a flash of platinum blond suddenly crossed Manus's mind.
Could it be Malfoy, who did not actually seem all that supportive of Voldemort? Old Malfoy had used similar methods more than once before—when dealing with Katria, and when warning him earlier...
"Voldemort needs benefits before he
