Severus shook his head.

"Of course I'm free Sunday at noon, but what time exactly, and where?"

"I still need to confirm that. If possible, it would be better to borrow somewhere larger and well-ventilated. I want to ask Hagrid whether I can use his yard."

Barring any surprises, Hagrid probably would not refuse, but Manus could not simply take that for granted.

What if Hagrid was busy or had other plans?

Next came the usual lunchtime. Manus did not intend to go to the Great Hall, instead heading straight for Hagrid.

"Of course there's no problem! I'm very glad you want to come hang out with me."

Just as expected, Hagrid did not refuse. But then he rubbed his hands together worriedly.

"But, testing the effects of a new potion... are you really going to test it on yourselves? Isn't that a bit too dangerous?"

Hagrid did not know much about innovative potions, but based on his simple experience of wizarding life, he felt that creating new potions was probably very dangerous.

Back in Knockturn Alley, he had more than once heard of—or even seen—people who had met miserable ends after trying potions they invented themselves, or drinking potions invented by others.

"Don't worry. I wouldn't do this if I weren't confident."

Manus smiled.

"Then I'm relieved."

Hagrid let out a breath.

"By the way, do you need me to prepare some ingredients for you? It must not be convenient for you at Hogwarts, right?"

"It's fine. Most ingredients can be found in the kitchens... but there are indeed some small things that the Hogwarts kitchens don't have."

After thinking for a moment, Manus took a sheet of paper from his pocket and used his wand to imprint a list of the items he needed onto it.
