Manus first cast several detection spells on Fried Egg No. 6, then cast several spells on himself before spearing the egg and eating it in two bites:
"Hmm... I see. Once the primary and secondary roles were switched, the effect changed too."
A false bodily state was being altered by this fried-egg-shaped potion. This time, the effect was no longer primarily exerted on the physical body, so its exact properties needed to be tested with magic again.
"An effect on the cognitive level? A high-tier Enchantment School effect. Judging from the ingredients... it should make someone perceive this food as delicious?"
For this particular fried egg, it distorted the eater's cognition and made them believe fried eggs were delicious. Whether that meant fried eggs in general or only this specific kind of fried egg was still unknown.
He could test it on a rabbit later.
He could stew a carrot, then let it gnaw on the carrot and see what happened. Incidentally, ordinary rabbits did not actually like carrots.
"Supplementary experiment to be recorded later."
After adding that note, Manus came before the final fried egg.
Up to this point, Fried Egg No. 7 still resembled Fried Egg No. 1: no Delicious Potion had been added during cooking, because the Delicious Potion for this egg was meant to be added at the very end.
This still counted as part of the cooking process—in other words, the brewing process for the potion. After all, it was common for food to have its final seasonings added after it came out of the pan.
Manus took out the Delicious Potion and dripped a drop onto the fried egg.
Just as when the Delicious Potion had first been brewed, when honey was dripped onto Re'em tenderloin, the fried egg rapidly melted under the effect
