Religious Interpretive Authority!

The Shepherd Pope broke out in a cold sweat.

That was right!

The authority to interpret religious scripture was now in their hands.

They could interpret it however they wanted.

Just like a modern sheep-breeding factory—how could such a thing possibly conform to the doctrines of the Shepherd God Church?

Even the Shepherding God probably had never imagined that sheep could be raised this way.

Given the situation that day, they had no choice but to make such a decision.

But what if, in the future, they refused to join Rost Academy, and a theological college under Rost Academy opened a Shepherd God Church major of its own?

What if they began issuing a series of interpretations and corrections over there?

What if Viscount Rost deliberately hired a group of people to study and believe in the Shepherding God?

Could that not mean that the Shepherding faith would henceforth split into two branches!?

Just as many gods had two or even three denominations.

And what would happen if the Shepherd Church major created by Viscount Rost cooperated with the agricultural and business colleges, developed new breeds, and began promoting them across the continent?

Before long, most people who believed in the Shepherding God would begin believing in Viscount Rost's version of the Shepherd God Church.

What would the Shepherding God choose then?

The answer was already obvious.

If they did not choose to join Rost Academy now, endless trouble might await them later.

Even though they knew Viscount Rost was most likely uninterested in such matters—and Viscount Rost was an important figure in the Technology God Church, with many even regarding him as the Technology Pope, so he was unlikely to do such things—what if he did?

It seemed there was only one path before them.

At
