Background / History

Rost began as a minor lord whose unusually sympathetic view of freefolk, serfs, and slaves set him apart from other nobles. He freed serfs and slaves, granted them land, trained them as craftsmen, and organized handicraft production, provoking neighboring nobles whose interests were threatened. His early ideas were often immature and brought disaster upon his family, but the Mana Bomb disaster and later magitech development refined his reformist convictions. 25 72
