The others grew serious and hurried to open it.

2. The Rail Transit General Company will coordinate and direct transport across the Ultra-High-Speed Rail Transit System, bringing all routes under centralized management to ensure orderly, safe railway operations and the completion of transport assignments...

"Does this mean that any railway built in the future, no matter where it is, will have to be managed by the Rail Transit General Company?"

One of them looked up at Viscount Rost. "If nobles build tracks in their own territories, surely you won't be able to control those?"

"If they don't want to connect to the trunk lines, I won't interfere," Viscount Rost said casually. "Just keep reading."

Most of the technology behind the Ultra-High-Speed Rail Transit System lay in the trains. The tracks themselves were not particularly complex: they needed stations that could gather magical power and rails that could supply it continuously to the trains.

Before long, others would learn to build the tracks too. Viscount Rost intended to sell the trains at clearly stated prices, just as he did Magitech Vehicles.

He did not mind powerful lords building small-scale railways within their territories. That, too, would advance Magitech Industrialization.

But few people would have the money to build one privately.
