Geyera left Blackstone City.
Once again, he left his hometown, just as he had many years ago.
He had recognized that bullied family. It was the shop where he had eaten spinach pancakes as a child. That woman had once been... something like his playmate. It was not that, after growing up and becoming separated by class, they could never again have the same topics to talk about. Rather, he was lost... He did not know whether the War God had changed, or whether the clergy of the War God Temple were twisting its doctrines...
In his understanding, war had originally been for protection, for survival. One fought to resist invasion in order to protect those one cared about; one invaded others to obtain resources in order to protect those one cared about. Everything was for protection.
But what had he seen now?!
Bloodthirsty butcher-kings, reckless conquerors, slaughter, bloodshed, greed, desire... It seemed that all of humanity's calamities had gathered here. Was this still the War God he believed in? Was this still the War God Church he wanted to build?
For the first time, he questioned his faith.
He felt as though his worldview was collapsing.
In truth, there were quite a few people like him.
Across the Southlands, countless people had begun to question their faith. Their doubts, mixed with enormous amounts of Faith Power, continuously poured into the War God's body. Yet the War God seemed not to care at all, and continued urging them on, urging the outbreak of an unprecedented war as soon as possible!
The enormous changes in the Southlands of the Dawn Kingdom, along with those in the many neighboring small nations, naturally could not escape the Graycastle Emperor's notice—much less that of his shadows... especially the shadows enhanced by the Magic Net.
