"Everyone's attention is on the auction right now. How could anyone possibly buy our things?"
The Shepherd Pope was somewhat puzzled. He felt that his son was merely indulging in wild fantasies. "Besides, even if we can sell them, how are we supposed to deliver them to everyone? Through dragons? We wouldn't even earn back the shipping costs!"
He had run the Wool Guild for his entire life, so he understood this kind of business all too well.
"It's the Month of Renewal now, not the Month of Harvest, much less the Chilly Moon."
Wool Ryan glanced at his father helplessly, then quickly explained, "Whether it's wool sweaters or wool felt, people mainly buy them to get through the winter. We have plenty of time to do this. If Great Dragon Express ships them by the slowest method, what difference would it make to them?"
"And you should know that after those merchants take wool products from us, they keep raising the price along the way. By the time they reach more remote regions, the price may be several times—or even ten times—what it was when it left us. So wouldn't the prices we set directly be cheaper than theirs?"
"No, it should be said that they'd be much cheaper. We can sell the goods directly, then let them pay the shipping themselves. If they want it fast, they can choose fast shipping. If they want it slow, they can choose slow shipping."
Wool Ryan's words had clearly swayed the Shepherd Pope somewhat. Indeed, as long as wool products were meant to be used during the Chilly Moon, even Dragonkind Express's slowest delivery speed could probably get them there before the Month of Harvest. There would definitely be enough time.
As for the price, there was even less to say!
