As the Data Artisan activated, the stream of data formed by Roger and Betty flowed along with the magic power. Before long, Roger saw the legendary Magic Core—a blazing red orb of light, with faint traces of unknown things flowing across its surface. But before he could make them out, they had already entered the book's body. It was an endless library, rows upon rows of bookshelves stretching beyond sight, their number and height impossible to discern... The book itself seemed utterly unaware that two anomalous sets of data had entered it.
Betty seemed never to have seen such a scene before either, and she looked somewhat dazed. Of course, both of them were now entirely in data form. Roger did not even know how he could tell, but he simply knew that she was staring in a stupor. "I came softly, as I leave softly, taking not a trace of data with me. Isn't that fitting?"
Before Roger had even finished joking, he vanished from the spot together with Betty.
The book still felt nothing at all.
After passing through an endless data passage like a tunnel through time, Betty finally came to her senses again and found that they had already appeared in the Golden City's lord's manor!
"We came to the mortal world that easily?" Betty was still somewhat stunned, unable to process it for a moment.
Though she called herself a "thing," she was actually an intelligent being. Descending into this mortal world was no easy task and came with many restrictions. Even when followers of the Magic Goddess prayed for her descent, it was extremely difficult. Yet they had appeared here without paying any price at all!
If other gods learned of this, they would probably be jealous enough to twist with envy! Countless things
