Just twelve simple words, yet they made Roger think of so many things. This authority was terrifying!
Whether Data Artisans built Void labyrinths or Void Divine Kingdoms in cyberspace, their essence was the same: using torrents of data to pile up a controllable Void world for some purpose. But the Spirit Realm was different.
It was targeted!
Simply put, the Spirit Realm was more like a True Illusion. Within a strange space between reality and fantasy, it constructed a Void world resembling the real one based on the target's memories. It could make them lose themselves within it, or attack the weak points in their mind and gradually destroy their psychological defenses.
It could even be said that within the "Spirit Realm," once an enemy believed something was real, then it became real. Though such damage would not be inflicted upon the physical body, the target would believe they were injured and relinquish control over that part of their body.
For example, if someone became disabled within the Spirit Realm, then even if their body remained perfectly intact in reality, they would never be able to stand again. This was something Data Artisans could never accomplish.
"What if we wrapped a layer of Spirit Realm around a Void world created by a Data Artisan?"
Betty quickly grasped the characteristics of the two authorities. Data Artisans could freely construct worlds as large as they wished and let in as many people as they wanted, so long as the main network channel was broad enough. Worlds created by the Spirit Realm were smaller in scale and had to rely on the target's memories, but within them, every Void attack became real damage... Each had its own advantages, but neither was perfect.
But what if they could be combined?
