Wolfheim, one of the Four Kings, swept his gaze across the room and said grimly, "They robbed the treasury, then called it compensation for the Northern Continent's losses over the years! The Dimensional Guild really does whatever it wants!"
Warrod Sequen sighed. "What's done is done. What can we say now? Besides, the Dimensional Guild's members did the most to drive off the Black Dragon."
Draculos Hyberion sipped his red wine, resentment in his voice. "They didn't just do the most. They were the strongest, too! There were only three of them, and every one was a monster. I'm not even confident I could face them now. Maybe if I were willing to die with one, I could take him down."
As the three spoke, only God Serena remained cold. "Discuss it among yourselves. Don't call me for the Magic Games, either. I need to go into seclusion."
God Serena clenched his fists and headed for his training grounds. The battle had left him humiliated all over again. Madara Uchiha had grown stronger, while he, a Dragon Slayer Mage, had been useless against a real dragon. Some were even whispering that if the Dragon Crystal inside him had fallen into the Dimensional Guild's hands, they might actually have slain the dragon.
Those words cut deep into Serena's pride, leaving him desperate to grow stronger.
After Serena left, Wolfheim said, "Maybe Serena's the only one among us who can grow strong enough to match the Dimensional Guild's members."
Warrod Sequen nodded. "We're all old. We've lost the potential to improve, so we can only rely on the young. I hope the Magic Games turns up some promising talent we can nurture."
