Come to think of it, the Dimensional Guild had always seemed mysterious. But Draculos Hyberion had never imagined the Magic Council couldn't stand against it. Now he saw just how terrifyingly strong it was.
Just a handful of members had thrown the Magic Council and every guild into chaos. And several of its strongest members had barely lifted a finger.
Draculos Hyberion couldn't help worrying that the Dimensional Guild really meant to wipe out every other guild.
Ren smiled, his gaze unchanged. "Wipe out every guild? I've never had that in mind. Besides, you're all frogs at the bottom of a well. I have no interest in playing with your guilds."
Humiliation washed over Draculos Hyberion. Many in the other guilds felt the same. They refused to accept being called ignorant.
But faced with Ren and the members of the Dimensional Guild, they could only stay silent.
They were too weak, and their opponents were too strong. Might made right. It was that simple.
Ren went on, "Don't get indignant when I call you frogs at the bottom of a well. This world has more than one continent and more than one country. Don't think you're strong. You're weak. The world is vast, and powerful people are everywhere. Yet you confine yourselves to one corner, scheming for power instead of trying to grow stronger. Some of you even rely on a trump card as an excuse to live in comfort. Frankly, you're worthless."
That last word stung everyone. But when they thought about it, they had grown complacent, relying on the Magic Council's Etherion and the resources behind it. They took jobs, chased wealth, and fought for influence. Growing stronger had fallen by the wayside.
A guild was doing well if it had even one of the Ten Wizard Saints.
