So at this stage, they could freely alter the structure of their bodies and restore them with ease, without affecting their cultivation. That was how the Transformation Technique came into being, with its Thirty-Six Heavenly Transformations and Seventy-Two Earthly Fiends Transformations!
The Thirty-Six Heavenly Transformations involved gathering Heavenly Dipper Qi to refine Divine Beast Blood Essence, then absorbing that refined essence into the body. This gave the cultivator the divine beast's unique anatomy and acupoints. Once the essence was fully refined, the transformation was complete: the cultivator truly became a divine beast and could even wield its Bloodline Divine Ability!
Each transformation also tempered the body once. For every six Heavenly Dipper Transformations mastered, the cultivator could combine them to develop a Great Divine Ability!
The Seventy-Two Earthly Fiends Transformations were cultivated in a similar way. One gathered Earthly Fiend Qi, infused it into the blood essence of the creature one wished to become, refined it, then absorbed it into the body. That was how one mastered an Earthly Fiend Transformation!
