Nezha nodded. "My master told me all that! It looks hopeless, but there's still a chance!"
As Nezha spoke, the gloom left him. He simply raised his cup. "Let's keep drinking!"
"Yeah... let's drink!"
"Drink!"
The four of them said no more and got back to drinking.
Ren kept drinking too, but said little. He knew too little about the matter, so he listened more than he spoke.
The other three talked and boasted, rambling from one subject to another, but much of what they said was secret knowledge outsiders would rarely hear.
Ren was happy to drink and chat with them.
They drank for days without the slightest hint of drunkenness. If anything, they only grew more exuberant.
Ren gave a light pat, and the wine in a jar turned into a Water Dragon. With a draconic roar, it slowly flowed into his mouth.
Nezha's eyes lit up. "Whoa... you can drink like that? Now I've seen everything!"
Yun Zhongzi nodded. "Impressive, impressive... We've always just knocked it back from cups. Who knew drinking could be done like this?"
Four-Unlike nodded eagerly, his eyes shining. "That looks great! I have to try it later!"
After days of drinking from cups or straight from jars, Ren had grown bored with it. He had been through several worlds, drunk countless wines, and learned countless ways to drink.
When it came to drinking, he knew far more than Yun Zhongzi and the others.
Ren swallowed the wine and said, "Well? Ever seen anyone drink like that?"
Nezha answered at once. "Ren, that was brilliant... brilliant!"
Ren chuckled. "That was nothing. I've got other ways to drink!"
