Once my life was safe, I tried to escape! I used my Divine Sense to drive the Third-Grade Golden Lotus through the Blood-Winged Black Mosquito's body, tormenting him as I tried to break out. But the more pain he suffered, the more frenzied he became! He tried desperately to refine the lotus, but he couldn't. His divine ability could only devour and refine Innate Objects, blood essence, and the like. Against a special power like Destiny, it was helpless!
Though he couldn't refine the lotus, the Blood-Winged Black Mosquito didn't dare spit it out! Even if he found a hidden realm, he feared Buddhism's two Saints could trace that connection and locate him. He trusted only his body, born of the Blood Sea, to hide him from heavenly secrets and the Saints' detection!
He couldn't expel the lotus or refine it, and I was still wreaking havoc inside him! In unbearable pain, the Blood-Winged Black Mosquito could only devour frantically, strengthening his body to withstand it. He consumed living beings and all manner of prey to make his body stronger!
