Whitebeard drank his wine, looking utterly unconcerned.
Ryder said, "It's simple. My captain invites you to Emperor Island."
Whitebeard frowned at that. "What do you mean?"
Ryder said, "Nothing more than that! My captain said that since you're prepared to die, and determined to go out in a blaze of glory, then you naturally need to be at your peak!"
Marco suddenly understood. "Lord Ryder... you mean Ren wants Pops to go to Emperor Island for treatment!"
Ryder nodded. "That's right... go to Emperor Island for treatment. We hope to give Whitebeard a body at its peak, then let him face a glorious battle! Perhaps you don't know this, but Teach is far more cunning than you imagine. Quite a few members of the D Clan have already joined him, along with plenty of others, yet he still doesn't dare confront you head-on. Maybe Teach knows he still isn't Whitebeard's match. So he chose allies. He chose to join forces with the Navy and deal with the Whitebeard Pirates!"
Marco gritted his teeth, and Jozu did the same. He said hatefully, "Teach... that bastard!"
Whitebeard found it strange. "The Navy has allied with Teach? Something about that doesn't seem right."
Ryder said, "Teach has already headed to the First Half of the Grand Line. Judging from his route and his plans, he'll most likely kill a Shichibukai, then cooperate with the Navy as that Shichibukai's replacement. Once Teach joins forces with the Navy, the Navy will inevitably start a war—a war against you!"
Marco frowned. "The Navy starting a war? No way. The seas are already chaotic enough. The World Government's target is Rayleigh and his group. Why would the Navy start a war, especially one against us?"
Jozu was the same, scratching his head in confusion.
Whitebeard fell silent,
