A Hollow's mask was the source of its energy. Once the mask was severed, the Hollow was finished. The Menos Grande's mask shattered, and its body began to crumble. It let out a mournful roar. "Raaagh..."
Moments later, the entire Menos Grande had turned to ash, leaving only a mass of pitch-black energy.
By then, Ren had used Sonido to appear before another Menos Grande.
The instant he landed, a Cero shot toward him from afar. Ren raised his sword and released darkness, devouring the incoming blast. Thunder then flashed around his left fist as a dark-gold Cloth appeared, and he punched the Menos Grande before him.
Boom!
Thunder erupted from his left fist, blowing the Menos Grande's entire head apart.
He had barely destroyed it when several other Menos Grande fired the Ceros they had been charging.
Ren narrowed his eyes. The black wings on his back rose and formed a barrier of darkness, blocking the incoming blasts.
The red Ceros struck the darkness as though they had hit a black hole. They sank into it and vanished without a trace.
Ren swung his sword backhanded. Sword Aura surged out, hurtling toward the distant Hollows.
