The sensation left Soken Ishida stunned. He stared at Ren. "Lord Ren... this is incredible! I can feel my body changing. I'm so strong now, like a beast in human form! No... even more terrifying than a beast! My body has grown young again, too! I've actually regained my youth. And my Spiritual Pressure has surged! It feels as though I cultivated every bit of it myself. How is that possible?"
Soken was shaken. In the Death God World, increasing one's Spiritual Pressure took steady cultivation. Of course, a few exceptionally gifted people were born with terrifying Spiritual Pressure. Ichigo Kurosaki, for instance, barely needed to train at all.
Then there were Zanpakuto with the power to devour. Ren, for example, could use Morgana's darkness to consume the Spiritual Pressure of Menos Grande, refine it, and make it his own.
But such cases were rare. How many geniuses like Ichigo were there? How many Zanpakuto could devour? Most Death Gods had to cultivate bit by bit to gain powerful Spiritual Pressure. A rapid increase was virtually impossible.
A Death God might transfer his Spiritual Pressure to someone else, but power that did not belong to its recipient would eventually fade.
In the original story, dozens of Death Gods poured their Spiritual Pressure into Ichigo. Within a few months, all of it had disappeared.
Soken could tell that the sudden surge of Spiritual Pressure inside him had come from someone else. Such transferred power should fade quickly. Yet he could feel that this power would not. It was as if he had spent years cultivating it himself!
The realization stunned him. He looked at Ren, deep in thought.
Ren noticed his expression and chuckled. "Heh... noticed the changes and started wondering about them? I think you've figured it out."
Soken nodded.
