Ren was puzzled. He had no idea what Old Man Yamamoto was doing in the World of the Living. Was he really here to arrest him?
As Ren pondered, Morgana said, "Master... things have changed. Those two captains have joined up with that peeping tom!"
Morgana pointed, and Ren saw three miniature figures gathered together. He recognized all three: Urahara Kisuke, Shunsui Kyoraku, and Jūshirō Ukitake.
Ren rubbed his chin as he looked at them. "I see... Old Man Yamamoto must have come to the World of the Living to arrest Urahara Kisuke."
It made sense. Only Urahara Kisuke could draw Old Man Yamamoto here. In the original story, Aizen had framed Urahara Kisuke, who then fled with eight captains afflicted by Hollowfication, Yoruichi, the Kido captain, and a whole host of others. So many people had defected that they had nearly hollowed out the Seireitei. It was only natural for a defection like that to bring Old Man Yamamoto out.
After all, Urahara Kisuke's defection had been one of the worst in the Seireitei's history.
"Master," Morgana said, "those three captains aren't the only ones there!"
As she spoke, the darkness kept taking shape, forming one miniature figure after another. Ren could see every one of them clearly.
Watching Morgana build the figures from darkness, Ren chuckled. "Heh... I doubt anyone else can match this kind of surveillance."
Morgana gave him a seductive smile, plainly pleased by his praise. "Master... the darkness-type fruits you gave me included the Shadow-Shadow Fruit! I can use the dark energy clinging to Shunsui Kyoraku and the others to slip into their shadows, then shape that darkness into their likenesses!
"My dark energy is already exceptionally hard to detect, and the whole city is filled with it right now. Naturally, those Death God captains
