Ren strengthened his allies, gained Indra’s Chakra through Ryūchi Cave, and faced a Cloud Ninja ambush alongside Nawaki. The arc ended as Ren rushed to Nawaki after the attackers severed his arm.

• Ren explored Frieza’s damaged spacecraft, then brought its equipment and supplies to Beast King Mountain for the Dog Clan to study.
• Ren fought Cloud Ninja who had targeted Kushina and Mikoto, killed their attackers, and asked Orochimaru to investigate Lightning Armor.
• Ren arranged extreme training for his allies, including Might Duy’s bone reshaping and gene research for Kurama Yun, while Shikaku announced the joint Chunin Ninja Exams.
• Ren visited Ryūchi Cave, signed the Snake Clan’s Core Scroll, and accepted Indra’s Chakra after arguing with Indra’s Chakra that absolute control could create peace.
• Ren asked White Snake Sage to monitor Orochimaru and provide Sage Mode training materials, then returned to Konoha with Indra’s Chakra changing his body and Sharingan.

Ren saved Nawaki and helped him awaken Wood Release while investigating the T Virus and stabilizing his expanding Flying Thunder God space. As the Five Great Shinobi Villages gathered for the Chunin Exams, Ren clashed with A and the Third Raikage, and the first battles began with the Cloud Ninja openly targeting Konoha.

• Ren crippled the Cloud Ninja who attacked Nawaki, used a Leaf Stone to keep Nawaki alive, and captured the surviving attackers before taking Nawaki to his secret chamber.
• Ren explored the Resident Evil world, recovered the Red Queen and T Virus, and used the Dog Clan to contain zombies and investigate the virus’s effects.
• Ren and Orochimaru injected Nawaki with First Hokage cells, and Nawaki survived the treatment and awakened Wood Release.
• Ren managed the Natural Crystal’s dangerous energy by expanding and stabilizing his Flying Thunder God space, then prepared for the approaching Chunin Exams.
• Ren met A and warned him about his teacher, then fought him again when the exam delegations gathered in Konoha.
• Orochimaru began the first exam, and Ren exposed the Water Mirror Barrier hiding the one hundred opponents before Shikaku collected the qualification proofs.

Ren gained power by studying White Zetsu cells, absorbing Asura’s Chakra, and refining himself with the Fallen Heart Flame, then recruited Hiruko for his research. The arc left Ren facing Ye Yan in the final exam, where he overwhelmed the Sand Jinchuriki with Black Lightning, black flames, and physical attacks.

• Ren warned Kurama Yun about the limits of the genetic serum, then entered the second exam with Shikaku, Might Duy, and the others to collect clearance tokens.
• Ren subdued Fugaku Uchiha’s group and killed Dan Katō, then defeated Gari and gathered enough tokens for his group to pass.
• Madara Uchiha sent Black Zetsu and White Zetsu to reveal how First Hokage vitality affected the Mangekyō Sharingan, and Ren took White Zetsu’s severed arm for Red Queen to study.
• Ren discovered that Reiko’s jade pendant stored Asura’s Chakra, retrieved the Senju records with Tsunade, and absorbed the Chakra, healing and strengthening his body.
• The Trash Station dropped a ruined Soul Hall into Ren’s domain, where he absorbed the Giant Python’s residual Fallen Heart Flame and Soul Origin, gaining Black Lightning and a greatly strengthened soul.

Ren manipulated the Chunin Exams, strengthened his control over allies and resources, and prepared for the clans’ attack on the Senju. With Nawaki’s revival of Tobirama, the Senju confronted the leaders who had targeted them.
