Ren declared war on the World Government, expanded his power by taking the Direction Fruit, and traveled to the East Blue to retrieve information about the Ancient Weapons. The arc ended with Koushirou showing Ren what he knew about Uranus and explaining why he joined the Revolutionary Army.

• After escaping Impel Down, Ren recruited Olvia and sailed for Ohara, where he refused the World Government’s demand to destroy the scholars and instead declared war.
• Ren and Dragon fought alongside each other against the Marines, defeating Akainu’s forces before Ren claimed West Blue for the Ren Pirates.
• Ren allied with the Revolutionary Army to overthrow World Government member nations, while Saint Raphael and Baraggan built pirate forces and declared war.
• Ren conquered Hyria Kingdom, ate the Direction Fruit, and fought Fujitora until his Airquake attack destroyed the kingdom.
• Ren captured the Sagittarius Gold Cloth from another world and agreed to retrieve Koushirou’s Ancient Weapon information in exchange for a copy.
• Ren traveled to the East Blue, healed Kaya, and joined her and Koushirou on Miracle Island, where he collected Rainbow Fruits and uprooted the Rainbow Tree.
• At Shimotsuki Village, Koushirou showed Ren scarce information about Uranus and explained that he joined the Revolutionary Army to overthrow the Celestial Dragons.

Ren gathered new allies, trained on Eight Extremes Island, and uncovered Roger’s legacy along with a Road Poneglyph and the location of Pluton. As pirates and the World Government prepared for war, Ren crushed the trap laid for him on Sabaody and struck Mary Geoise with an Air Cannon.

• Ren recruited Kuina and Kaya, met Red-Hair in the East Blue, and learned that Shanks intended to pass on Roger’s hat and will to Luffy.
• In Loguetown, Ren found Roger’s hidden chest and letter, then visited Foosha Village and gave Luffy Ace’s hat after Luffy ate the Gum-Gum Fruit.
• Ren trained on Eight Extremes Island, where the Sagittarius Gold Cloth gave him Aiolos’s remaining Cosmo, and he found a Poneglyph that Olvia identified as a Road Poneglyph.
• Ren recruited Patrick Redfield and Nami, met Dorry and Brogy, and joined the effort to oppose the World Government’s coming attack on the New World.
• Shiryu recovered a Poneglyph from Alabasta’s royal tomb, and Ren learned it recorded Pluton’s location as Whitebeard and other pirate leaders united on No Return Island.
• Ren killed a threatening Celestial Dragon on Sabaody, took the Gold-Gold Fruit from the auction, and faced tens of thousands of pirates drawn by news of Roger’s Treasure.
• Ren and Wall launched an amplified Air Cannon at the Red Line, damaging buildings in Mary Geoise as the Five Elders rushed to investigate.

Ren turned the battle at No Return Island into a devastating defeat for the World Government, then used the aftermath to expand his territory and strengthen his powers. As Red-Hair brought the surviving pirate emperors to Ren’s waters, the five leaders began negotiating how to divide the New World and respond to the Marines.

• Ren arrived at No Return Island, joined the battle against the World Government, and declared that One Piece lay on Laugh Tale as he challenged the oppressed to overthrow their rulers.
• Ren fought Garp and Sengoku, while Dragon rescued Garp and the World Government unleashed its Mythical Zoan fighters against the pirates.
• Ren devastated No Return Island and the surrounding sea with a massive attack, leaving the pirates victorious but both sides heavily depleted.
• Ren claimed the New World territories left vulnerable by the war, strengthened his abilities, and discovered that Spirit Soil could grow Devil Fruits from the bodies of captured agents.
• Ren harvested a Hell Three-Headed Dog Fruit and a Nine-Tailed Fox Fruit, while learning that the world's greatest thief had rescued Issho from prison.
• Red-Hair gathered Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom in Ren’s territory, where the five leaders’ Conqueror’s Haki shattered mountains as they met.
• At a palace banquet, Ren rejected war and a formal alliance, and Red-Hair proposed dividing the New World and uniting against the Marines and World Government.
• Whitebeard and Kaido agreed to discuss the territorial division, while Big Mom insisted that Totto Land remain hers.

Ren pursued the secrets of Uranus and the Golden Ship while Kalpo waged war on the Celestial Dragons. Roger’s resurrection ended in a final clash with Kalpo, after which the Roger Pirates went their separate ways and Ren sailed on.

• Ren claimed islands near Laugh Tale and formed the One Emperor, Four Emperors alliance with Big Mom, Kaido, Red-Hair, and Whitebeard.
• Kalpo began a war against the Marines and World Government, while Ren refused to join and sent Ryder to learn where Uranus was hidden.
• Ren recruited Baby 5, took the Rumble-Rumble Fruit for his Sagittarius Cloth, and uncovered records and Golden Ship plans on Sky Island and Jaya Island.
• Ren captured Moria and Perona, then promised Kalpo that the Ren Pirates would protect Ace if he faced insurmountable danger.
• Kalpo revealed the map fragments leading to Uranus and Roger’s frozen body, while Ren arranged for Moria to revive Roger during the Battle of Ball Island.
• The Celestial Dragons unleashed their hidden fighters and a devastating weapon against Kalpo’s forces, and Kalpo declared that he would expose the world’s truth before the laser engulfed him and Golden Lion.
• Roger emerged alive to shield Kalpo, defeated the Celestial Dragon, and refused Kalpo’s accusations no answer as Kalpo rejected his offered sword and prepared to fight him.
• Roger, Kalpo, and Rayleigh clashed in a final battle that left Roger and Kalpo gone and Rayleigh badly wounded, while Buggy set out for the New World and Ren departed with Ryder.
