After Fanny arrived and began operating the magitech analyzer, she fed magic into it to link everyone else's magic to the machine. But she gradually sensed that something was wrong.
Her magical perception revealed at least three flaws in its internal circuits. If the analyzer ran at high intensity for more than three hours, its magitech core would likely overload and explode on the spot!
Fanny hesitated when she discovered this, but she could not stop herself from warning Lilian, who was still feeding magic into the machine.
"Lilian, there seems to be a problem with the design of the third energy circuit. Should we—"
Before Fanny could finish her well-meant warning, Lilian cut her off.
"Do you have no sense of your place, you wretch? You're so stupid I could laugh!" Fanny's "advice" made Lilian bristle like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She glared at Fanny with fury, her voice icy. "Who do you think you are? You're just a commoner studying at Loran Magitech Academy thanks to the Kascga Family's charity. What gives you the nerve to question a masterwork like this?"
"Is it your pathetic pride, always desperate to be noticed? Or that worthless talent of yours? You think you're a genius just because you read faster than other people, when you're useless at everything else."
